How to Get Rid of Crow’s Feet
Crow’s feet are a natural part of ageing and come to all of us eventually! The right skincare for crows feet treatment can help soften, plump and reduce wrinkle appearance around the eyes. What causes crow's feet? The biggest causes of crow’s feet are loss of elasticity and collagen, squinting, smiling and sun damage. Crow’s feet deepen due to a lifetime of facial expressions, especially squinting, that continually expand and contract the muscles around your eyes. This is compounded by the natural reduction of collagen and elastin (they keep your skin firm and stretchy) as we age. Skin just doesn’t ‘snap back’ into place like it once did and wrinkles deepen. Then there’s sun damage. UV rays are responsible for up to 90% of the visible signs of ageing, which includes wrinkles and lines around the eyes. We’ll all experience lines around the eyes as the years roll on. The good news is, there are things you can do to get rid of crow’s feet and prevent them from becoming deeper. Tips for preventing crow’s feet Wear sunscreen SPF protection should be at the top of everyone’s anti-ageing skincare routine for youthful, radiant, and healthy looking skin. UVA rays penetrate the skin and damage the collagen causing sagging, wrinkles, and crow’s feet. Even when it’s overcast, the skin is still absorbing the sun’s rays so a cloudy day is no excuse to skip the SPF. We recommend Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen SPF 30+ as the ideal daily sunscreen for all skin types. Use sunglasses Sunglasses with UV protection can help prevent crow’s feet in two ways. First, by protecting the delicate skin around your eyes from UV exposure. Second, to prevent squinting on sunny days. You won’t need to squint to block out glare which means your facial muscles stay relaxed behind your glasses. Include a targeted eye serum in your routine If you want to know how to get rid of crow’s feet, including an anti-ageing eye serum in your routine is a must. We look at key ingredients for eye serums designed to target crows feet in a moment. Get your eyes checked If you’re having difficulty reading books and screens, chances are you’re squinting much more than you realise. You can get your eyes checked to see if glasses or contact lenses can help correct a squint. Crow’s feet treatment Never blinking or smiling again isn’t really an option! Luckily, there are ingredients you can incorporate into your skincare routine to get rid of crow’s feet or reduce their appearance over time. SNAP-8™ SNAP-8™is an innovative peptide-powered wrinkle fighter and crow’s feet treatment. Consisting of a string of eight peptides, SNAP-8™ has been called the needle-free alternative to botox. It helps relax facial muscles around the eyes by blocking the neurotransmitters that tell the muscles to contract. This reduces the appearance and depth of crow’s feet and other facial expressions lines. Caffeine Tightening the skin around your eyes helps improve the appearance of wrinkles. As a temporary crows feet treatment, this is exactly what caffeine does - it constricts the blood vessels and causes skin to tighten. Hyaluronic acid Crow’s feet can be plumped and improved by hydrating the skin. When your skin is dehydrated, all wrinkles and fine lines appear deeper and more obvious. A superior hydrator, Hyaluronic acid (HA) deserves a place in your routine for natural wrinkle remedies. HA is a sugar molecule found naturally in your skin. Its role is to help your skin hold onto moisture keeping it hydrated, plump and dewy. HA has powerful humectant properties which means it draws moisture from the air around you and the deeper layers of your skin to hydrate and plump the skin surface - including those crow’s feet. Peptides Anti-ageing powerhouses, peptides are short chains of amino acids and the building blocks of collagen and elastin fibres. Collagen and elastin are proteins that work together to give skin firmness, shape, and elasticity. Crow’s feet gradually become deeper because the body slows its production of these key proteins as we age. This is where peptides come in and act as a ‘messenger’ to tell the body to produce more of these youthful proteins. They help in a vital way by transporting the compounds needed to synthesise collagen and elastin. Peptides can also boost hydration and calm inflammation. Vitamin E Harness the antioxidant power of Vitamin E to help get rid of crow’s feet and guard against the sun damage that causes them to deepen. Vitamin E works to protect the skin from the wrinkle forming damage caused by free radicals from sun exposure. This popular vitamin also offers excellent moisturising properties which can help soften and smooth wrinkles around the eyes. Vitamin E may even be able to help brighten dark circles of a tired looking eye area. Bonus! esmi Anti-Ageing Eye Serum How to get rid of crow’s feet? With our Anti-Ageing Eye Serum. It combines all the potent multi-action ingredients to fight eye wrinkles in a single formulation. SNAP-8™ / peptides Caffeine Hyaluronic acid Vitamin E Suitable for all skin types and ages, this lightweight serum lifts and tightens, reduces wrinkle depth and moisturises a dry eye area. Eyes are instantly refreshed and results are reinforced over time. How to use the Anti-Ageing Eye Serum After cleansing or exfoliating, and before moisturising, apply a grain of rice-sized amount (per eye) and massage to below the eye area and above on to the brow bone in an outwards motion. Double down on your crow’s feet treatment by teaming the serum with ultra-moisturising Eye Delight Reflection Eye Balm. By using it over the serum, you also help lock the active ingredients of the serum into the skin. Shop the full range of esmi Eye Treatments for anti-ageing, brightening, and hydration.

Eye Serum vs. Eye Balm
While fine lines and wrinkles are an inevitable part of life, serums and balms are the best eye care products to promote a more youthful, supple eye area.
Skincare for Pre-Teens
Between the ages of 8-12, tweens are no longer kids but they haven’t quite hit their teenage years. This is the perfect time to introduce a simple skincare routine to set them up with healthy skin habits for life. Skincare for tweens should be simple and focused on getting the basics right rather than introducing a complicated routine. Too many products will overwhelm young skin. Besides, how many kids are interested in tackling an intense 10 step routine? 1. Choose a gentle cleanser The most important aspect of getting a tween skincare routine started? Cleansing. Cleansing removes the oils and dirt that accumulate leading to shininess and breakouts. Not just any old soap will do though. Bar soaps will strip the skin of the important oils in its natural barrier and leave skin dry and feeling tight. Tweens should also avoid using harsh cleansers designed to target acne. These formulations are too strong with high pH levels that leave the skin stripped. Instead, incorporate a gentle cleanser like The Uncomplicated Cleanser into your tween’s morning and evening routine. How to use The Uncomplicated Cleanser Step 1: Dampen skin with lukewarm water. Step 2: Apply a pearl-sized amount of the cleanser to damp hands and massage gently into skin with an upward motion. Step 3: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water or remove with esmi's Microfibre Facial Cleansing Mitt. 2. Apply a moisturising serum (optional) Applying a light moisturising serum after cleansing can help balance oily skin. Hormonal changes in the teen years trigger excess oil production, but tweens at 11 or 12 years might already be experiencing increased shininess. We recommend Acai Skin Balancing Face Oil for a tween or young teen's facial routine. A lightweight face oil is ideal for all skin types, especially oily skin with balance concerns. This nourishing oil can replace moisturiser to calm and hydrate while regulating oil flow. How to use Acai Skin Balancing Face Oil Step 1: Using the dropper, drip 2-3 drops of oil directly to the palm of the hand. Step 2: Massage the oil gently into clean skin. This step follows the cleanser and can be incorporated into your tween’s morning and evening routine. 3. Use SPF 30+ protection It’s never too early to start using sunscreen on a daily basis. The earlier the better. They’ll thank you for this tip in decades to come! We recommend the Sun Skills For All and esmi's Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen SPF 30. Sun Skills For All is a super lightweight SPF 50+ sunscreen ideal for congested and oily skin and pre-teens. Due to the light, satin finish and pineapple + mango scent, it's an easy product to convince your pre-teen to include! Choose a broad spectrum sunscreen that protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen SPF 30 is suited to younger skin as it’s non-greasy, comfortable and has the extra benefit of a nourishing antioxidant boost with green tea and carrot root oil. How to use SPF Apply sunscreen after cleansing or the moisturising face oil, if using one. Tween/Pre-Teen skincare tips These easy skin tips will put your tween on the path to a healthier, protected complexion. Cleanse in the morning and evening to remove build up, acne-causing bacteria and keep pores clear. Use an SPF every day. If your child plays sports or spends a lot of time outdoors, reapply throughout the day. Drink plenty of water. Hydration is key for healthy, clear skin. Avoid picking pimples. They don’t go away, they just get worse! Keep hands clean to avoid transferring bacteria to the face. Psst - want to make it easy? Get all three products in a handpicked bundle, designed just for them, with our Tween Skincare Bundle.
Collagen Boosters: How to Boost Face Collagen
Ageing. It is one of those things that is unavoidable in life. Just like going through your Swiftie phase, it is a rite of passage. Now while there are some amazing things that come with ageing (did you know that you can just buy a cake and a bottle of wine whenever you want?), one of the not-so-amazing things is sagging skin. When we’re spring chickens, our bodies naturally produce collagen which gives us that plump, youthful skin. It is the most abundant protein in the human body and acts as the ‘glue’ that keeps all of our skin, muscles and tissue together. As we age, our body starts to lose its elasticity, and external factors actually start to break down collagen. Enter: wrinkles and sagging. Yes, okay that is a bit of a pain in the behind, but it is not the end of the world! There are plenty of natural ingredients that stimulate collagen production in skin. These are what we call collagen boosters. Ingredients that boost collagen Vitamin C An absolute superstar of an ingredient, vitamin C is here to give you that much needed collagen boost. It is a key part in the body’s natural collagen production, whether applied topically or as part of collagen boosting supplements. When incorporated into your skincare routine, vitamin C fights off DNA damage from the environment and protects the outer layer of your skin. It speeds up the collagen production process and maintains the collagen that already exists, which means less wrinkles and more of that gorgeous plump glow. There’s a reason our Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen is packed with vitamin C - this clever little vitamin increases the effectiveness of sunscreen by decreasing cell damage. So, vitamin C and sunscreen go together like Nutella and a spoon - the perfect pair! If you want an extra hit of vitamin C to naturally boost collagen, apply a pea sized amount of our Pomegranate Brightening Serum which targets sun damage and ageing. Plus, you can soak up that sweet, sweet vitamin C from the Kakadu Plum and Bearberry found in our Bouncy Brightening Silky Booster Mask. Once you’ve given vitamin C a well-earned place in your skincare routine, take things up a notch by adding vitamin C supplements to your day. Hyaluronic Acid Hyaluronic Acid (or HA for short because phew, that is a mouthful) gives your skin a big drink of water and is responsible for that plump, dewy look that is all over our mood boards. As we age, we lose HA naturally, making the skin more dehydrated and slowing down collagen production - yeah, no thank you. HA is what is called a ‘water-binding’ component that can bind up to 1,000 times its weight in water which, frankly, is just showing off. It aids in collagen production by surrounding the skin cells with water, creating the perfect environment for collagen production. “Hyaluronic acid helps to bind water to collagen, trapping it in the skin, so that skin can appear plumper, dewier and more hydrated,” says Dr Tsippora Shainhouse. For a shot of hydration, the Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum is our number one pick. It can be used on all skin types, quickly sinks into the skin, plumps the skin and of course, gives collagen production a gentle kick up the behind. If you want a little something extra, the Hyaluronic Hydrating Booster Mask boosts hydration (as the name suggests) and the Anti-Ageing Eye Serum lifts wrinkles if those late nights are taking their toll. Vitamin E Vitamin E is a fan-favourite antioxidant and anti-ageing ingredient. It fights free radicals (atoms that damage cells and break down collagen) and prevents damage to the skin and compromised collagen. We love it because it protects the skin and a deficiency can put a halt to collagen production. The body cannot produce vitamin E on its own, so we have to consume it or add it to our skincare - both if you’re wanting top marks. Try our Golden Anti-Ageing Serum which is rich in vitamin C and E (a double whammy of collagen-boosting goodness) to plump any wrinkles that may have crept in. Incorporating a skin supplement with vitamin E into your diet can help you get the most out of your skincare and send that collagen production into overdrive. If you’re starting to see sagging when you look in the mirror, put the fillers down and boost collagen production naturally! Thanks to a range of skincare products and supplements, you’ll be looking plump as a grape in no time! If you have any other questions about boosting collagen, get in touch with our experts for a free consultation here.
How Does Zinc Benefit the Skin?
When you’re learning the A-Z of glow-boosting vitamins and minerals for the skin, you should be brushing up on zinc. Don’t be fooled by it being last on the list, zinc packs a serious punch. Besides supporting the body’s immune system, zinc has a bit of a reputation for being a show-off in the skincare world, and so has found its way into a range of skincare products. So, let’s take a look at why you need zinc for your skin. Zinc benefits for skin Firstly, zinc is known for its anti-inflammatory properties. If you’ve got irritated skin thanks to some very unwelcome acne or dryness, take notes. If you’ll let us get a bit geeky for a second, zinc slows the release of inflammatory proteins called cytokines. Less cytokines means less inflammation. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory nature, zinc can also control flare-ups of acne by reducing the usual redness that comes along with nasty pimples. As a little acne-fighting bonus, zinc also reduces keratin which clogs pores. It’s a clever little cookie, isn’t it? Zinc also brings along some pretty fantastic anti-ageing benefits. It is an essential nutrient for boosting collagen and elastin production. And if you’re not new here, you know that means plumper, more youthful-looking skin. Collagen is produced by zinc-dependent enzymes called collagenases so yes, it is quite important for that juicy glow. You’ve probably heard of antioxidants, but what are they really? Well, they fight off free radicals that can break down collagen production and yup, you guessed it, zinc is one of them! You’ve also probably heard people refer to zinc in the sun protection realm. When paired with oxygen, zinc oxide is formed, which shields the skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays, making it more effective than chemical sunscreens. Physical sunscreens (those that contain zinc oxide) are also less irritating, but we’ll talk more about why we love them in a bit. As a little fun fact, zinc oxide also creates a protective layer around the skin, preventing transepidermal water loss which is a fancy term to describe when skin moisture is lost to the environment. This keeps the skin hydrated and prevents premature ageing. How to incorporate zinc into your life Okay, so now that we’ve definitely sold you on the benefits of zinc for the skin (Right...Right?), let's get to the important stuff: how do you reap those sweet benefits? Zinc in skincare When applied topically, zinc has some killer sun protection, which is why it is the active ingredient in our Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen. It creates a barrier that protects the skin from UV rays. The zinc oxide also helps to repair, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. Yes, it really is that amazing. Want a double dose of zinc? Our coverage products even the skin tone, while calming and healing damaged skin. Try our Liquid Mineral Foundation, Loose Mineral Foundation or the Mineral BB Cream for a gorgeous sheer coverage. Who said you couldn’t combine makeup and skincare? Including zinc in your diet Our bodies are pretty amazing but unfortunately, can’t produce zinc or store it for long periods of time. That’s why eating foods high in zinc is going to be your ticket to glowing skin town (we love it there). You should be aiming for about 8 milligrams of zinc a day. Getting there means getting friendly with foods like chicken, red meat, milk, cheese and eggs. For all you lovely vegans out there, legumes like chickpeas and lentils are a great option. Keep in mind, the body needs proteins rich in amino acids to absorb zinc effectively. That means fish, mushrooms and quinoa. Get cooking, lovely! Zinc supplement for the skin If you’re looking for an extra zinc boost (hey, we don’t blame you - it’s hard not to love it) skin supplements are a great option. Find a supplement packed with zinc to calm and heal the skin. If you ever need any extra convincing to join the zinc fan club, chat to one of our Skin Experts and they’ll answer any questions you may have.
My 5 Minute Skin Care Routine
Working mum? Stay at home mum? Working multiple jobs? Does anyone else have those days where you go out in public with your kids, they are dressed and ready, looking good enough to step onto a catwalk. But then you catch yourself in the reflection of the car window and realise you look like you just stepped out of bed? Don’t stress. We’ve all been there. Often when we’ve been asked ‘How have you been?”, we tend to answer ‘busy’, myself included. And because of this new pace of life, we may not all have the time to get ourselves ready for the day like we once had, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get the same results! As a working mum of one very energetic ‘fournager’, and currently stepping into the third trimester of my pregnancy with my second, I no longer have the time I once had to do a full skin care routine! Whether I’m running out the door for work, attempting to squeeze in some early morning me time, or just juggling a grumpy toddler, mornings are usually a very busy time for our household. So any beauty tricks or skin care hacks that can save me a bit of time, I am all for! Thanks to this lack of time though, I have now got my 5 minute beauty hack on the run - MASTERED! A few things I’ve learned along the way: Keep it simple. Find products that tick more than one box. Consistency is key! So, let’s start the day. I like to set my alarm to go off 30 mins before my family wakes up. This gives me that little window of time to get myself ready, so I feel less stressed once the rest of the house is up and getting into the day. It makes me feel refreshed, awake, and ready to start my day. THIS is where I sneak my five minute skin care routine. ✨ Cleanse I use the Uncomplicated Cleanser to do a gentle cleanse and pat dry with a fresh face towel. If you have acne-prone skin like myself, you may want to try using a fresh towel or face washer after cleansing to minimise breakouts! ✨ Serum I have used our Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum for nearly 3 years now and it has transformed my skin! It boosts internal hydration, helps to regulate oil flow and improves the overall skin complexion to create a fantastic base for your makeup! ✨ Sun protection I follow this with the Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen which has an SPF30 to ensure my skin is protected for the day ahead. Again, with very acne-prone skin that is also very sensitive, adding this to my routine was a game-changer. ✨ Makeup If I’m wearing makeup that day, I will usually do a light, everyday look with the Loose Mineral Foundation or Mineral BB Cream if I’m wanting some extra coverage or extra SPF! To finish my makeup I spray my face with the Skin Snack Misting Spray which helps me feel refreshed and ready to go! I also carry this around in my handbag for a nice little spruce up throughout my busy day. To end the day, I use my skincare routine to help me wind down before bed. After a long day of running around like a headless chook, the time before bed can become quite precious. And giving yourself, even just 10 mins, to practice some self-care, can help calm your mind (and your skin!) So here’s what I like to do once I’ve put my daughter to bed and made myself a cup of sleep tea! ✨ Double cleanse Using my Uncomplicated Cleanser again, I first do a cleanse to remove any makeup from the day and then cleanse again to thoroughly clean the skin. Patting dry with the other side of my new face towel from this morning! ✨ Moisturise I always apply my Probiotic Skin Mylck plus Anti-Redness to ensure my skin is replenished. Then depending on how my skin is feeling, sometimes I’ll also go in with the 24k Gold Nourishing Oil as it helps on those days that you feel a bit of dryness to the skin. Plus it makes you feel super luxurious! Get everything you need for your five minute skin care routine with one of our Skin Care Bundles or get in touch with our skin specialist team to help you get on top of your skin concerns today!
Beauty Benefits of Silica in Skin Care
Hands up if you’ve ever heard of silica? Okay, so one or two clever clogs in the back, but for everyone else, we don’t blame you. While it may not often get the spotlight it deserves, silica is an ingredient that you should absolutely be looking for. We thought it was about time we gave you a masterclass so you know why you should be looking for silica in skincare. What is Silica? Bear with us as we take a quick trip to the lab. Silica is a natural compound made up of oxygen and silicon molecules that naturally occur in the human body. In fact, following it’s cousins iron and zinc, it is the third most abundant element in the body, so it is kind of a big deal. It is found in bones, tissue, and importantly for us, the skin. Importantly, silica is a key part of the collagen production process, which is what keeps your skin plump, tight and juicy. Saggy skin? We don’t know her. Oh and did we mention it also has anti-inflammatory properties as well? Show off. We’re born with high silica levels, but like all good things, these deteriorate as we age. That’s why incorporating silica in skincare has some major benefits. Silica benefits for the skin The benefits of silica in skincare can be summed up in two words: tightening and hydrating. Sign us up! Like we said, silica is necessary for collagen production to improve skin elasticity. To dig a little deeper, it stimulates fibroblasts which releases collagen type 1 - the type that minimises fine lines in youthful skin. “It has a tremendous impact on skin regeneration - silica is strongly linked with healthy youthful skin,” says Isabel Sharkar, a naturopathic doctor. It is truly an anti-aging superstar. Another fantastic part of ageing (read: not at all fantastic) is that our bodies struggle to retain moisture. This leads to a loss in hydration which is a critical element when it comes to producing collagen and elasticity. Silica promotes glycosaminoglycans (for the sake of our brains, we’re going to call them GAGs) which hold 1000 times their weight in water. Silica binds to the GAG molecules which, you guessed it, leads to hydration station. Moisture levels are also vital for collagen production, so they really do go hand in hand. Okay, we did say two benefits but here’s another one for good measure: silica is anti-inflammatory. This means it can help to relieve the symptoms of acne, psoriasis, and eczema. It is also great for sensitive skin as it carries a lot of oxygen and won’t cause irritation. How to get your dose of silica You want to know what’s better than silica in skincare? Silica in skincare that doubles up as makeup! Our Liquid Mineral Foundation and Loose Mineral Foundation both contain the good stuff so you can soak in all of the silica benefits with a side of coverage. Makeup that boosts collagen production and keeps your skin hydrated really is what dreams are made of. The foods you eat can also boost your body’s silica levels. You’re going to want to reach for whole grains, fruits and vegetables like beetroot, brown rice and leafy greens - they are all rich in silica! We’re big believers in beauty starting from within, so along with incorporating silica into your skincare and makeup routine, skin supplements are going to give you that extra boost. The SkinTrient capsules are designed to target skin concerns and good news, just about all of them contain silica for skin tightening. Yup, we’re talking the Restoring Green, Hydration Saver, Defense Antioxidant, Inner Detox, Dry Skin Saver and Probiotic Saver. Take your skin-boosting supplement every day and you’ll be seeing that radiance in no time! If you want to know more about silica and how it can help you get your glow on, chat to one of our skin experts here.

Learning to Love the Skin You're In
Learning to love the skin you’re in… Are we overcomplicating it? Let’s explore. Have you ever met that person that just seems to have a bounce in their step? You know the one we’re talking about… They’ve got the social energy of a golden retriever, their skin looks like they just swam in the deep waters of the swiss alps and they just exude confidence! And you’re left thinking…. How can I get that?! Well, we have just the trick for you! *No plane ticket to Switzerland required. The truth is, we all deserve to feel great physically, mentally, spiritually & even socially. YOU deserve to feel good in the skin you’re in. Before we get to the good stuff, let’s just remember this very important perspective. The art of self-love is a JOURNEY, not a destination. We are all LEARNING. And the person we mentioned above, she LEARNED ways in which they could feel and live the way they do. They made a decision to lean in, prioritise their worth and STOP COMPARING! I’m not sure if you’ve figured this out yet, but the skin we’re in isn’t going anywhere. You are you. (light bulb!) And no one else on the planet can do it better than you. Physical changes, money, success and fame may change the exterior of you. But they are not going to directly change (for the better) the love you have for yourself. There’s a reason why the rich and famous share in interviews that a budding career and loads of money, really doesn’t give you happiness. Becoming famous, didn’t increase the love they had for themselves and really, it has usually done quite the opposite for them. It’s time to stop being so hard on yourself - don’t worry, we got you. So, how do we learn to love the skin we’re in? Glad you asked! Let’s dive in. Step 1: Stop! First and foremost, let’s stop the negativity. STOP comparing ourselves to others. Where they are in their journey, is not reflective of where you are in yours. STOP people-pleasing. Yep, we’ve ALL been there! Live your life through your eyes, not of those around you. It’s like needing glasses... Yep, go with me. Without them, is like seeing yourself through others eyes - it’s blurry, distorted, not in focus. With them, you’re seeing yourself through your own eyes - it’s clear, contextualised and you can focus! You’re seeing the ACTUAL picture. So, put those glasses on and see yourself for who you really are! STOP and take time to reflect. If we’re going to learn to love the skin we’re in, we need to first find those things that are important to us. What gives you excitement, joy, love, purpose, passion, happiness, and health? Write them down! This way, you will have them laid out in front of you, ready to set action within each area. Step 2: Set Now that we've STOPPED it's time to set ourselves up with new habits and routines, to create time for ourselves and get the 'self-love boat' going. Positives It’s time to find the positives in who we are. The world we’re in and the environment around us. What are the things you love about who you are? (No, this is not arrogant unless you’re updating your Facebook status to reflect your finding’s). Is it your ability to see the good in everyone? Is it your smile? Is it your heart for the environment? And then, to your world. The free country you may be blessed enough to live in? The fact you have access to clean running water? The feeling of sunshine on your face? Jot them down and watch the positivity flow. Priorities What is important to you? What are the aspects of your life you wish to devote time and energy to? Family, religion, the environment, helping others, your career, living a healthy life etc. It’s important to focus on what these are so you can invest time into those things that matter most to YOU. Practices What are the practical things you want to do in your life that you feel will increase your enjoyment of it? Time invested in YOU. Regular time for things like family/friends, meditation, learning how to eat healthier, exercise, taking more time for rest, regular pamper time at home with good skincare (We know who we would pick!). The list is endless and different for everyone! So get yours going. If you’re having trouble coming up with ideas, here are some of our favourites! Get up 20 mins earlier than you would for some ‘me time’ Do a quick morning yoga flow or go for a quick walk - get that body moving! Guided or silent meditation while sipping on a sleep tea before bed Develop a good skin care routine to start and end each day (chat with our skin service team to help you with this!) Set a weekly date night - with your friends or significant other Take a class - learn a new skill or just have some fun! Pamper night once a week - face mask, hair mask, bath, however you do pamper! (We love the Hyaluronic Hydrating Booster Mask for a pamper night in!) Digital detox - maybe it’s from 5pm at night until 5am the next morning, maybe it’s one day a week with no screens - you do you! Step 3: Start! Aaaaandddd GO! Start looking over everything you just put down and putting it into practice, DAILY. Spending time to discover these things, and starting to invest your time and energy into them IS learning to love the skin you’re in. You’re practising self-love. And giving value to who you are. So maybe it’s really not as complicated as we once thought? STOP listening to outside voices of dictation of how you should be living your life. SET yourself up for the freedom to live unapologetically who you are! START loving the skin you’re in. Get living beautiful people. Not sure where to start? Reach out to our team of skin experts for a complimentary skin consultation. We’d so love to hear from you.
We Scream for Sunscreen
We Scream for Sunscreen... Why we think you should too! ‘Oh my skin just feels so tight, dehydrated and hot’ Said NO ONE EVER.... right? After a long day, at work in and out of meetings, spending your day off outdoors, or running around after the kiddies, the last thing you want to feel is tight leathery skin. You know the kind where your face literally prevents you from showing emotion past a small grin! #notcute The reality is, we’re ALL going to spend time in the sun over the course of our lifetime. So sun protection should be a priority for us all! Especially in seasons where we’re likely to spend a lot MORE time than we usually would. Because of this, our skin is going to be constantly exposed to all sorts of environmental impacts, that can create long, lasting effects on the health of our skin. We understand you may be thinking: Sunscreen is too greasy on my skin. It always seems to break me out. Sunscreen creates a ‘cakey’ look under my makeup. I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN!? Perhaps one or even a few of these points, have been keeping you from reaching for an SPF. And we totally understand! But don’t fret! We are here to let you in on a little secret. You no longer need to let these things deter you from using a daily SPF. We have THE product for you! Here is all you need to know, about how our Esmi Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen, can help you avoid these common problems! ‘Al Naturale’ Our sunscreen is created with all-natural ingredients! So it’s suitable for ALL skin types. Our formula is also preservative and fragrance free, so it really is the best sunscreen for sensitive skin. SPF 30 Protection With Zinc Oxide as a key ingredient, our SPF blocks out both UVA/UVB rays which are the culprits of the damage caused to our skin cells. UVA rays can penetrate your skin on a deeper level causing cells to age prematurely, so protection from both of these is extremely important to have in your daily skin care routine! Zinc Oxide aids in the halt of the ageing process, so this sunscreen is perfect for mature aged skin. Non-greasy Formula Designed specifically for the face, this product has a non-greasy application that is ideal for wearing under makeup, or for those who battle with oily skin. It applies softly and smoothly, absorbing quickly into the skin so you can follow with your makeup application, without getting that ‘cakey’ effect. Hydrating and Nourishing Our formula includes very hydrating and nourishing ingredients to ensure your sunscreen is not only protecting your skin but giving your skin some TLC in the process! The main ingredients include: Carrot Root Oil - antioxidant, rich in vitamin E and A, increases cell regeneration, moisturising, soothing, and softening. Hyaluronic Acid - intensely hydrating and holds 1000 times its weight in water! Certified Organic Green Tea Extract - power antioxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and reduces sebum production. Certified Organic Cucumber Extract - skin superfood, hydrating, cooling, calming, and reduces puffiness. Certified Organic Rosehip Extract - antioxidant, rich source of vitamin A and C, moisturising, brightening, promotes skin regeneration, and improves skin texture. Aloe Vera - hydrating, soothing, calming and healing. Adding in an SPF like our Skin Shield will not only gain you a layer of protection from the sun (or an added layer if you’re already wearing makeup with a good SPF in it) but you’ll also be adding a dose of nutrients and hydration to your existing skin care routine! Convinced? We sure hope so! So, why is sunscreen important? The use of a daily SPF helps to prevent sun damage to the skin, avoid premature ageing, avoid uneven skin complexion and protect it against the harmful UV rays of the sun. Get ready to say goodbye to that leathery, tight, dry skin. And say hello to your now protected, supple, nourished and hydrated skin! BONUS TIP! Our Refreshing and Hydrating Skin Snack Face Mist is the perfect sidekick to take with you, for an on-the-go hydration option! Pop it in your beach bag, in your carry on. Take it outside while you’re tending to the garden or even have it on your desk while working away in an air-conditioned office! (cue the dry skin right?!) Really want to level up that refreshed feeling? Keep your face mist in your fridge for an added cooling effect. Want to find other skin care products to use alongside your new SPF? Q + A with Kylie Camps
“I love having make-up free days now. My skin feels soft and hydrated.” Kylie Camps is one incredible mum, owner of The Kind Parenting Company, sleep consultant, podcast host, and parenting influencer. Kylie’s podcast and Instagram are spaces dedicated entirely to making a difference in women’s lives by focusing on taking small, positive actions each day. She pours energy, curiosity, truth, and #mumlife tips into her social posts and podcast episodes. When she turned 30, Kylie made a pact to really focus on taking care of her skin and esmi Skin Minerals has been part of her routine for years. She’s achieved healthier, softer skin with esmi and we’re delighted to share our chat with Kylie on skincare, self-care, and more. Best piece of advice you give yourself for 2021: 100% my focus right now is to really practice self-compassion. 2020 was a strange year for all. For me personally it had a lot of positive moments and lessons but I have also been moving through a divorce and all that entails, with two kids. It is a LOT! So self-compassion for doing my best and my best can look different each day. What is something that people don’t know about you? Probably the fact that despite liking a tidy house and getting ready most days, my car is messy, really messy!! You’ll find all sorts of things in my car! What did you wish you knew 10 years ago? How much motherhood would change me. What is your favourite thing about being a woman? The fluidity of being feminine, the energy and ability we have to be super soft and nurturing one moment and then focused and effective in the next. The friendships with other women too, female friendship is magic. If you could meet anyone that you look up to, man or woman, living or dead, who would you want to meet? Brene Brown for sure, the work she has done to uncover and share the importance of vulnerability, shame, resilience and worthiness is life-changing. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I really admire the strength and grace of really great yogis. Whenever I see someone really fluid in handstands, I think “I want to do that”. The opposite end of that is I really admire mathematically-minded thinkers, I can’t imagine being excited by numbers but I do appreciate that trait in others and often wish I was naturally inclined to be that way! What was your biggest skin challenge prior to using esmi? My biggest challenge with my skin was the fact it was often dry. I felt like I needed a really heavy moisturiser to hydrate but then it had implications of clogged pores etc. What changed after starting with esmi? The most notable change is that people often ask about my skincare regime! Which I think is a big compliment!! My skin texture has improved, my makeup sits well on my skin and I love having make-up free days now. My skin feels soft and hydrated. What would you say to somebody on the fence about trying esmi? Over the years I have had countless people thank me for putting them onto esmi and the most common thing I hear is “It actually works”. I’ve had people stop me in Coles before to tell me how much they love the range. Our skin is so important, we can’t take it off - we need to look after it. If you are on the fence about trying the esmi range, I strongly suggest you speak with the esmi skin consultants to chat about your own specific skin concerns and goals. You can work out a plan tailored to you. Try it for a few weeks and I bet you see and feel a difference. What esmi product can you not live without? 24k Gold Nourishing Oil, the Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum Skin Treat and the Bamboo Rose Gentle-Foliant ... Oh, and the Hydrating Booster Mask! What are some ways that you practice self-care in such a busy, demanding world? Self-care can mean different things on different days for me. Sometimes self-care is pushing through a hard workout or a bath with a face mask. Other times self-care is making hard phone calls and having boundaries. Life can get busy and self-care can fall off the priority list for many so I love my skincare routine, it is a constant easy way to look after me. A moment of peace and self-care can go a long way on a busy day!
After Sun Skin Care Routine
Sunburn - we’ve all been there! Hot, red, uncomfortable skin and serious regret about skipping SPF. Read on for how to care for sun damaged skin and, more importantly, how to protect your skin to avoid it happening again. How Sun Exposure Affects Skin A tan might look good but it’s not a sign of skin health. It’s much safer to get your sun-kissed glow from a bottle than spending hours in the sun. The damage UV rays do to your skin include: Fine lines and wrinkles Did you know research estimates up to 80% of premature ageing is caused by UV light? UVA rays reach deep into the layers of skin where they damage collagen and elastin. This weakens the structure of the skin and leads to the premature appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Fine lines and wrinkles come to all of us eventually, but if you want to hold them off as long as possible (yes please!) daily 30+ SPF protection is a must. Hyperpigmentation Hyperpigmentation is caused by an increase in melanin. Melanin is the natural pigment that gives our skin, hair and eyes their colour. One of the main things to trigger your body to produce more melanin is sun exposure. Dryness and irritation The sun isn’t kind to your skin barrier. It depletes the moisture and essential fats in the outer layer of your skin (the barrier) leaving it looking dry and parched. Flakiness, itchiness and a tight uncomfortable feeling are common when the skin gets this dry. Skin cancer - including melanoma Too much sun exposure doesn’t only mess with your best skin goals, it can have much more serious health effects. The sun’s UV rays can damage the DNA in skin cells changing how the cells grow and divide. These changes can cause cells to become cancerous and potentially trigger dangerous melanoma. Protecting Your Skin During Sun Exposure Prevention really is better than cure. Protect your skin with these tips when enjoying a day outdoors! Wear sunscreen Are you diligent with your daily application of SPF or a beach-only blocker? Using sunscreen daily and remembering to reapply is your #1 defence against sun damage. Always choose broad-spectrum SPF 30+ to protect your skin from both UVA and UVB rays and check the expiration date on sunscreen you’ve had for a while. Expired sunscreen won’t give you optimal protection and may cause irritation. esmi’s Skin Shield Natural Face Sunscreen (SPF 30) is your skin’s antioxidant-infused, daily defence against the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays. Cover up with a wide brim hat Go the extra mile to protect your face, back of the neck, ears, and eyelids with a wide brim hat. Wear sunglasses Your best choice is sunglasses with UVB and UVA protection. A good pair blocks 99 to 100 percent of both UVA and UVB rays from reaching the skin and eyes. Stay out of the sun during the hottest times of the day Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. is when the sun is at its most intense heat. Try to stay in the shade and undercover during this time. Drink plenty of water Keeping your body hydrated is part of smart sun skin care too. If you’re headed to the beach, exercising or another outdoor adventure make sure you take plenty of water to sip throughout the day. After Sun Skin Care Routine Post-sun skin care is all about replenishing skin and helping it recover from the stress of UV light. After sun skin care products should focus on adding hydration, topping up antioxidants and, overall, being gentle with your skin. Avoid any harsh or irritating cleansers or strong treatments to avoid stressing skin further. Step 1: Cleanse Use a gentle cleanser such as The Uncomplicated Cleanser to gently cleanse skin without stripping it of moisture and protective oils. Step 2: Apply a hydrating mask A super saturating and comforting mask treatment will help to replenish moisture lost during the day. Give the Hyaluronic Booster Mask a try! It instantly boosts hydration with skin soaking hyaluronic acid while minerals, vitamins, and oils restore, protect and balance. Step 3: Use a hydrating serum Continue boosting moisture levels with a hydrating serum. We recommend Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum in your after sun care routine. The key active ingredient in this skin soaker is hyaluronic acid which is critical for maintaining skin hydration and replenishing lost moisture. Step 4: Moisturise The final step in your after sun skin care routine is to moisturise with your choice of lotion, cream or facial oil. Caring for Sunburned Skin Sunburned skin needs extra TLC. Here’s how to care for sunburn immediately after sun exposure and over the following days. Stay out of the sun and replenish lost hydration Has your skin got that uh oh red glow? Time to get out of the sun immediately! Reapply sunscreen and stick to shady spots or indoors for the coming days. Keep a bottle of water handy to sip frequency to replenish lost hydration. Take a cool shower and avoid putting ice on your skin How to reduce redness of sunburn? Rubbing ice on hot, uncomfortable skin for instant redness relief sure sounds tempting - but don’t do it. Putting ice directly on the skin can cause even more damage. Instead, draw heat out of your body by having a cool shower. Applying a cool face cloth or compact to skin can also reduce redness. In the days following, be gentle with your skin and let it heal. Skip exfoliation treatments, like facial scrubs, chemical exfoliants, and enzymes and avoid waxing or shaving until your skin has recovered. These things will only further irritate tender, damaged skin. A treatment we do recommend post sun exposure is the Anti-inflammation Mint Gel Booster Mask. It’s incredibly soothing and healing for sunburnt skin, instantly cooling the discomfort of red, irritated skin. The Tasmannia lanceolata extract provides powerful, skin rejuvenating antioxidant properties while aloe vera soothes. Serious sunburn? See a medical professional ASAP Serious sunburn can cause more than a red face and hot, uncomfortable skin. Severe sunburn can be accompanied by headache, fainting, vomiting, and a fever. If you experience any of these symptoms, please get yourself to a doctor or medical professional ASAP. Keep your skin safe this summer with Skin Shield Natural Sunscreen SPF 30. An easy-to-apply, non-greasy formula with additional anti-ageing benefits of carrot root oil, hyaluronic acid, and green tea for hydrated, smoother skin. Q + A with Sheree Nelson
I get compliments on how my skin has that 'glow’ Not afraid to say it how it is, WA based influencer mamma Sheree (Ree) Nelson started her Instagram account for fun. It was her way of ‘getting out there’ and creating friendships online - her community has since grown to almost 40k. With warmth and honesty, Ree shares all things motherhood, health, beauty, and fashion. Ree’s intention for 2021 is to focus on self-love and do more of the things that make her feel good! We’re thrilled esmi is part of her skincare routine and has helped boost her skin confidence. With combination skin, Ree knows the struggle of dealing with skin that’s oily and breaking out one day and dry and irritated the next! We had a chat with Ree on her skin challenges and why self-care is everything in her busy world! What was your biggest skin challenge prior to using esmi? Prior to using esmi, I was at a loss as I was spending so much money on skincare that did not agree with my skin! I would say I have combination skin. It would go from being oily with constant breakouts or days where it would be dry and irritated. There was so much in-between which was frustrating. How did that challenge make you feel? It made me feel frustrated as all a girl wants is nice skin, am I right!? If my skin was not looking nice then my makeup would not sit well. I started to feel a bit self-conscious. All I've ever wanted was to be able to wear no makeup and have my skin glowing and feeling amazing! What changed after starting with esmi? The first initial change I noticed was my skin balanced out and I no longer had days of feeling dry or oily. I no longer have random breakouts (unless it's that time, haha) but I feel more confident in my skin. I can actually wear no makeup and I get compliments on how my skin has that 'glow.' What are some ways that you practice self-care in such a busy, demanding world? Being a mum, working part-time and influencing I never have much time left over in my day. But, I have learnt to put myself first as it's so important to look after yourself! Self-care to me isn't just treating yourself to getting your hair done, nails or putting on a face mask. It's really appreciating those times you have to yourself to go for a walk, read a book and really connect with yourself on a whole other level. I really appreciate the time where my daughter is in bed and I finally get to sit down and take in everything. What is something that people don’t know about you? Something that shocks people is that although I am incredibly confident online - I can talk about anything and everything to my followers on my stories which get thousands of views - when it comes to in-person, I am shy as anything. It's something I've been trying to work on as to some people I come across as being rude but in reality I can be socially awkward (unless I have a drink, haha.) What did you wish you knew 10 years ago? You do you! I wish I knew that it's okay to be yourself and to put yourself first. Don't rely on other people to make you happy and to make sure you always put yourself first...PERIOD! There is so much pressure from society that you have to be a type of person and have to have your life sorted by a certain age. This is, in fact, totally incorrect as I look at my life and how far I have come at 26 and still have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I'm only just figuring out what I want to achieve, what big goals I want to accomplish and I am still so young. My life is in no way sorted but I am so thankful for my family and my beautiful daughter.

This woman is pure inspo for how to put together pieces and shake yourself out of a fashion rut! What was your biggest skin challenge prior to using esmi? I have combination skin - so it tends to break out quite a bit and is hard to keep clear. What specific results can you share since using esmi? My skin just feels extremely hydrated since I've been using the Skin Treat Hyaluronic Hydrating Serum. I also adore the Probiotic Skin Mylck morning and night. It gives my skin a great hydrated glow without breaking me out. I also love to pop the hydrating serum on before applying my makeup, my foundation just goes on so well. What have been some of your favourite Esmi products so far? I've been using the Probiotic Skin Mylck plus Hydration daily and using the Hyaluronic Hydrating Booster Mask. So far these are my absolute faves and a part of my daily skin routine. What is something that people don’t know about you? Hmm maybe that I'm an extremely bad cook hahaha... although I hate to admit it. What is your favourite thing about being a woman? Everything. Being a woman is incredible and I think women supporting other women is an amazing force.
Q + A with Alex Centomo
One of our favourite self-love and body positivity advocates, beautiful mumma Alex Centomo is a Canadian beauty, fashion, lifestyle influencer. Welcoming her son Arkie last year, Alex has been super open and honest about her body and mental health journey during pregnancy and postpartum with her million Instagram followers. And they love her for it! She’s empowering new mums to embrace their bodies, focus on self-love and opening up the conversations on the realities of motherhood. Like so many women, Alex experienced big changes in her skin during pregnancy and postpartum. She also suffers from rosacea. Incorporating esmi Skin Minerals products into her routine has helped Alex calm and balance her skin. Enjoy our chat with Alex! What specific results can you share after using esmi? I've been using esmi skincare for a few weeks now and have noticed a significant difference in the texture and quality of my skin! Going through pregnancy and postpartum comes with a lot of hormone changes, and mix that in with the crazy changes in weather here in Montreal, my skin was all over the place. I finally feel like I'm at a place of balance and I'm super happy with the results! What would you say to somebody on the fence about trying esmi? Go for it! I love how they have so many different products that target different skin qualities. You can find something that fits your skin needs perfectly. HUGE bonus that they're vegan! What esmi product can you not live without? Definitely the Uncomplicated Cleanser with Anti-Redness! I suffer from rosacea and this product has really helped with that a lot. It's also not drying which I really like now that my skin is noticeably aging! What are some ways that you practice self-care in such a busy, demanding world? I take time every day to relax all my senses. Wearing comfortable clothing, listening to or watching something soothing, tasting something enjoyable, and smelling either a calming candle or essential oil! What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you? I feel like the challenges that social media and technology bring will be tough for the next generation of women. I grew up in the 90s without any technology other than TV and that was limited to weekends. I feel like women now deal with a lot online. Everything is so quick and so easily at our fingertips, it's a blessing and a curse. A blessing because we can make anything of ourselves and really push to achieve goals that didn't exist for women a few years ago. But a curse because it's easier to compare ourselves and absorb almost too much information. We need reminders to disconnect once in a while to recharge.
Q + A with Milly Bannister
“Focus on what you can control and let go of the rest.” Milly Bannister is the virtual big sister and real-talk bff you always wanted! The Founder and Director of GRLKND - a female-empowerment and education organisation - Milly is on a mission to help young women self-direct their mental health journeys. She’s here to hold your hand through your journey towards personal power! Milly is also a digital media expert, podcaster, mentor, and influencer with a huge Instagram following. Super relatable, fun, and not afraid to get deep, Milly shares her own challenges and gems of advice on her Insta starting conversations around self-confidence, compassion, and mental health. What a treat to chat with Milly! We got the lowdown on the advice she’ll be following for 2021, what she wishes she knew 10 years ago, and her favourite esmi Skin Treat. Best piece of advice you give yourself for 2021 Focus on what you can control and let go of the rest. Find resources and ideas in the least-likely places. Take yourself and your business seriously and don’t be afraid to ask for help, you sweet fool. What did you wish you knew 10 years ago? 10 years ago I was a 14-year-old - wow, I just want to give her a hug, firstly. And then tell her that everything gets really good. Go see a therapist through Headspace Australia. Join the GRLKND community. Spend less time worrying and comparing and more time living present moment to present moment. What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you? I feel so heartbroken for the generation growing up online, scrolling more and exercising their childlike sense of play and wonder less. So much so, I founded a charity to improve youth collective mental health literacy, in a world that very much tells us that we're never quite good enough to feel peace, happiness, confidence or self-compassion. What specific results can you share after using esmi? My favourite product has to be the Hydrating Hyaluronic Serum with a callout ingredient of hyaluronic acid meaning my skin gets a big drink of water. Sometimes I get random dry patches that not even pawpaw ointment can fix, but somehow, this little skin treat does. If you could only use 1-2 skincare/beauty products for the rest of your life, what would they be? Rough! 1-2!? Gosh, if I had to dwindle my multi-step skin and beauty routine down to 2 items, it would definitely include a soft, multi-action cleanser and a hydrating + exfoliation moisturiser with SPF. Is that cheating? What would you say to somebody on the fence about trying esmi? Slide fast into esmi's Instagram DMs! We’re delighted to share our chat with Madalin about her results with esmi Skin Minerals. What made you want to try esmi for the first time? I’ve seen esmi all over the front page of my Instagram, and become curious about this Aussie skincare brand that everyone was gushing about. I jumped on the website and read the reviews and was convinced I need to try them! What specific results can you share? I’ve specifically noticed my skin has become brighter and any uneven skin tone has faded. My skin used to feel dry for a few hours after I applied my skincare routine, and I’ve noticed it hasn’t been feeling dry or tight throughout the day. Must be the effects of the Ultra Nourishing Booster Mask! What would you say to somebody on the fence about trying esmi? I would say jump online and read the reviews, definitely sold me. It’s helpful as you can read what people recommend based on their skin concerns and purchase what would be most suitable for you. What esmi product can you not live without? The Ultra Nourishing Booster Mask, it’s so luxe and feels divine, every time I put it on I feel like I’m treating myself. Not only is it ultra-hydrating but it also makes my skin look brighter. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I would learn to be organised! I try every year and say to myself ‘this will be the year’, I buy a diary, write in it for two weeks and then I’m back to scribbling to-do lists in the notes section of my phone. Not my strong suit. Meet the Ultra Nourishing Booster Mask De-stress dry skin and slow cellular ageing with colloidal gold, free-radical fighting green tea extract, and a nourishing oil complex to renew, repair and protect. Ideal for dry skin types in need of nourishment to reduce fine lines, inflammation, uneven skin tone and heal damaged skin.
Q+ A with Lorinska
“My favourite thing in the world is motherhood.” Glam mumma Lorinska found fame with Netflix series Yummy Mummies. She’s built her empire Instagram sharing all things motherhood, family life, and pregnancy. Lorinska is a big believer in self-care and doing those lil’ things that make yourself feel extra spesh. Especially while juggling the demands of motherhood and during pregnancy when life and hormones can get pretty crazy. It’s one of the reasons she loves esmi Skin Minerals! There are so many pregnancy safe options to nourish your skin while expecting and breastfeeding. We chat to this unstoppable mum about her self-care routine, skin care, her go-to guilty pleasure treat, and more. What is your favourite thing about being a woman? There are many things I LOVE about being a woman but my favourite thing in the world is motherhood. Being able to carry my two girls for 9 months- a tad longer as I bonded with each in utero - and then watching them be born was an experience that was priceless! What do you believe will be the biggest challenge for the generation of women behind you? I believe we are breaking glass ceilings (putting BIG cracks in them), and doing many things right. That’s why the needle has moved. Yes, I think women have areas to improve and I also strongly believe culture and organisations also have huge steps to take as well. Therefore, let's each do our part along the way. What would you say to somebody on the fence about trying esmi? I really don’t know where to begin..actually, yes I do...head over to esmi Skin Minerals and meet the beautiful people who have achieved amazing results with esmi Skin Minerals. It will blow your mind! The products are ideal for all skin types, the cleansers deeply cleanse, giving you soft and supple skin. It won’t strip the skin of good oils and bacteria but it also prepares your skin perfectly for other products you may use. Let me tell you, fence-sitting will not protect your skin, so give it ago, you’ll love it! What are some ways that you practice self-care in such a busy, demanding world? I just wrote something about this on my Instagram page the other day. I get up at 5:30am every morning and literally skip out my door as I head over to Hot Pilates. I have always loved pilates. It’s my go-to, I truly unwind and disconnect (even though I’m getting a crazy workout) in order for myself to reconnect with my family and work. What is something that people don’t know about you? I hold my fork in my right hand and knife in my left (however I am not left-handed) and I vacuum my house when I get up in the morning and after the girls head to bed.
