Intensity of the Retinol activity, i.e. the percentage of encapsulated retinol.

You will start seeing a change in your skin after about 2 weeks of using your R series. Very slight peeling may occur for the first week to 2 weeks.

Tretinoin can cause severe skin dryness, peeling and redness and can contain ingredients such as paragons etc.

We recommend you apply 2-3 drops of a Skin Treat oil after your Retinol by pressing it lightly over your skin. Always follow with an eye product such as the Eye Delight Eye balm.

Very sensitive skin may experience slight soreness in the first 2 weeks. Otherwise there should be no soreness when using the esmi R Series.

esmi has an encapsulated Retinol formulation meaning you get a more potent but stable delivery of Vitamin A.

Your Retinol is best stored away from direct sunlight and heat in a cool dry area.

Even though Retinoid/Retinols’ nature is to become less active over time and exposure to oxygen, your esmi R Series retinol is encapsulated meaning its preserved for longer. We recommend you use your esmi R Series within 6 months after opening.

It is best to avoid any additional retinol product when already applying and taking sun sensitising medications. Please consult with your doctor first.
